Living with Transgender Health

My story is about my niece who is in her late 20’s and has wanted to be a man ever since she was about 11. It’s heartbreaking to see what this has done to her and her mother(my sister). We as a family accept her for whomever she or he is, but society hasn’t been too kind to her. She has rages of temper but I realize how tortured she must be. She dresses like a man and has legally changed her name to a male name. She was raped when she was a young teen and out of this had a child. Her child is so confused. Is this my mom or my dad? Plus it has made my sister step into the role of mother for this child instead of grandmother. My neice said she would have surgery in a heartbeat if she knew where to go and how much it would cost.(she’s not very well off) I just hope and pray she can get the help she needs,both physical and mental. Any help you can offer on this subject will be greatly appreciated. Thank-you!
